Leanna Petrone – The Owner of Leanna NYC
After graduating from Oregon State University with a BS in Apparel Design and a minor in Merchandising Management, Leanna took it upon herself to venture into 12 years of working in fashion. Like many young graduates, Leanna started working in what countless call “the trenches,” developing practical skills on the sales floor. After six years of this professional work, Leanna was highly skilled in reading a customer needs and desire to be fashionably savvy. With this knowledge, Leanna knew she could do more for her customer than just sell to them; she could create garments they were dying to buy, yet could not find in stores. Leanna spent the next eight years designing highly sought after garments in New York City. After this time, Leanna once again came to the realization that she could do more for her customers. Having done her studies in Oregon, she knew that Portlanders have unjustly been overlooked when it comes to New York City fashion trends and she was a way to bring these trends to them. Leanna’s combined skills and knowledge of the right types of clothing a woman should wear, based on their body type and personality, were solidified by her retail experience. Leanna NYC is the perfect vision of how talent and strict knowledge of garment construction can bring the hottest fashion from NYC to women across the world. Leanna has created a boutique which will undoubtedly bring to Portlanders what they have been wanting.
